The Memphis Union Mission in Memphis, Tennessee, ministers to the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of men, women, and children who are homeless, addicted, and in crisis. The ultimate objective at the Memphis Union Mission is for patients to:
- Become mature disciples of Jesus Christ
- Achieve freedom from substance abuse
- Reunite with family and loved ones
- Reemerge as self-sufficient members of the community
Grace Church is an inter-denominational, multi-cultural, multi-racial church in the heart of downtown Memphis. This church specifically ministers to to the homeless and inner-city population. People even come to this supportive church from Arkansas and Mississippi to hear Pastor Jeff Patrick's message. Everyone is encouraged to come as they are.
On a personal note, I find it so humbling that the workers at the Memphis Union Mission are working with this seriously underpriviledged part of the city. For those who are helped by the Memphis Union Mission, I am sure that they are blessed beyond belief for having support and love in not only one aspect of life, but physically, spiritually, and emotionally.
